Here's what I've been listening to of my own accord the past couple of weeks:
1. Biffy Clyro's Ellipsis is the chart topping seventh studio album by the Scottish trio. The album delivers a mix of hard hitting and softer tunes that fans would come to expect from the band, and the energy shows they are in no way slowing down. This album is a must for driving through the country but you're also going to the pub to get pissed.
2. Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence delivers sad, loungy songs with a voice plucked straight from a different era. It's hard to explain, but something about her style makes here one of the only palatable acts to come out of modern pop music. This album works great for driving yourself to the malt shop then heading to the beach, all while fixing tear streaked makeup.
I guess that's it for this week. I've been so focused on the work I've forgotten to listen to music for personal enjoyment as well!
